Detailed description of Mulligans South, Ridge Nine

Mulligan's South is a Public, 18 hole golf facility located in Riverton, Utah. The facility has two 9-hole golf courses, The Ridge Nine, and The Meadow Nine.

In addition to the two courses, there is a large driving range with both natural grass and artificial teeing areas; a double deck practice tee with thirty-three climate controlled, covered hitting areas open year round; thirty-six holes of miniature golf and recreational gardens; and eight batting cages featuring both slow and fast pitch softball and baseball.  Mulligans also offers first class golf instruction and great practice facilities,

The Ridge Nine __________

The Ridge is a nine hole executive course with a combination of par 3's, par 4's and a par 5.

The Meadow Nine __________

The Meadow has nine par 3's.

Both courses are user friendly, but challenging enough for the most accomplished golfer to experience some shot making confrontations.

Short stay in Salt Lake City area and decided to play a quick nine (9) at "Mulligans Golf Complex" located just down the street from me. It was great to see this area packed of golfers from all ages and mostly young ones. Aside from the driving range/chipping green they have two (2) courses to choose from. The Meadow is strictly a Par 3 course with nine (9) holes ranging from 62yds to 186yds or total of 1,038yds. No sand traps here but water adds to the hazards on five (5) holes with average size to small greens. I played the Ridge course, though straight forward at 2,177yds / Par 33 has four (4) Par 3's, three (3) Par 4's and one (1) Par 5 at 470yds. Surprisingly the fairway grass was cut tight, full and thick with front protecting sand traps on four (4) greens. Average flat size greens that rolled smoothly at 7-8 with no damage other than non-repaired pinch marks. The #1 is a two (2) club uphill 116-94yd Par 3 to a large friendly green. The #2 is a slightly downhill 105-82yd Par 3 to a sidehill green that falls off to the right so stay left. The #3 is a 373-322yds Par 4 with a raised fairway that has the rough area more hard pan than grass. This is very common throughout the course on the rough areas with sparse grass. The #4 is a downhill Par 3 with a raised green 177-96yds away and a front placed sand trap. Miss this green and 20-30yd kicks is where your ball will stop. The #5 at 229-185yd Par 4 but the green is kicked right at 200yds (Blues) and a deep rough area awaits those coming up short trying to drive the small green. The #6 Par 3 plays 92-62yds and has a very small green but easy up & down if missed. The #7 is a 314-242yd Par 4 that has another front sand trap protecting this good size green. The #8 Par 4 runs right back along #7 fairway 301-238yds away to another raised green. The #9 at 470-396yds is your Par 5 with water down the entire LH side so stay to the right and Par is easily yours. For $13 w/cart, playing nine (9) holes, this was worth giving my irons a real workout hitting to smaller targets than I normally see. Ended up shooting 34 w/15putts and tightening up my iron play.
